Overview of the AFD project

The purpose of the "Archivio Fotografico Digitale" (AFD) project (Digital Photographic Archive project) - a project in progress - is to make usable an archive - even large ones - of digital photographs.

In short, the AFD project offers the user the possibility to search for photographs from the archive through a GRID application and, as regards the selected photographs, the user can view them from the device used (PC, tablet or smartphone) as a slideshow. Furthermore, from a PC, the selected photos can be sent to a smart TV, or exported to a photo album software (for example CeWe, PhotSì, etc.) for the creation of a photo album, a calendar, etc., or selected photos can be used to create a movie from photographs.
